Alice Rebecca Boykin Gardner

We are saddened to announce the passing of Alice Rebecca Boykin Gardner, age 72 who passed away January 4, 2025. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 pm at the Harmony Baptist Church directed by Norton Funeral Home, Hartsville. Rev/ Tim Stephens will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00 -2:00 pm at the church and at other times at the residence of Steven Gardner 439 Lucknow Road, Bishopville, S.C.

Alice was born in Bishopville a daughter of the late Liston & Ida Mae Rogers Boykin. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church.

Surviving is her husband Charles Edward Gardner, McBee; 2 sons, Steven (Tina) Gardner, Bishopville and Chuck (Lisa) Gardner, McBee; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Peggy (Lide) Johnson, Hartsville; 2 brothers, Joe (Welba Jean) Boykin, Cassatt and John Richard Boykin, Cassatt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Alvin and Bill Boykin and 1 sister, Paulette Hall.
