Aggie Griggs

Hartsville, S.C. Funeral services for Aggie Mae Griggs, age 88, who passed away September 15, will be held Tuesday at 4:00 at the Chapel Norton Funeral Home. Rev. William Griggs will officiate. Burial will be in the Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 5-7 pm at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Griggs was born in Darlington County a daughter of the late Bailey & Sue Jones Griggs. She was a member of Piney Plain Freewill Baptist Church and was employed for many years with Woods 5 & 10 Cent Store. Surviving are one daughter, Kaye Ewing, Hartsville; one son, James Michael (Beth) Griggs, Aiken; one sister, Mary Jane Gainey, Hartsville; four grandchildren, Chad (Jennie) Ewing, Charlotte, Ashlee Griggs (Ron) Duren, Aiken, Jason (Kathrina) Griggs, Simpsonville and Caroline Griggs (Vic) Copeland, Winston Salem; six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Alexander Griggs; Son In Law, Ray Ewing; three sisters and four brothers.
