Lydia - Mr. Robert Lee Fields, 85, passed away Saturday evening, September 7th, 2019, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 on Monday afternoon, September 9th, 2019, at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. Reverend Becky Forrest will officiate with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall. The family will also be receiving friends anytime at the home of Mr. Fields at 848 West Lydia Highway in Hartsville (Lydia Community).
Mr. Fields was born in Lydia, a son of the late Robert Fields & Annie Lee Fields Adams. Robert was a faithful member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, a member of the Wesley Chapel Men’s Club, and a 50 plus year member of the Patesville Masonic Lodge. He retired from Sonoco Products after 44 years of service.
Surviving are his daughters: Dawn (Bob) Ellen of Bishopville, Tanzy (James) Moore of Charleston, and Vicki (Mark) Olson of Lydia; grandchildren: Hannah (Jared) Amell, Gretchen (Steven) Jordan, Mary Margaret (Zach) Grantham, Durning (Natalie) Moore, Gettys Moore, Jason (Rachel) Olson, Jordan (Garrett) Forman, and Christian Nalph Olson; great-grandchildren: Cade Amell, Ellie Amell, Reid Amell, Beau Amell, Monroe Jordan, Wallace Jordan, Landen Olson, Kyle Olson, Aydia Thompson, Destiny Waldrop, and Carlyle Forman.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mary Frances Fields; parents; stepdad, Troy Adams; and a brother, Bill Fields.
